The Association's Executive Committee consists of five (5) dealers and it's full-time staff executive who serves as President. The term of each member is for one (1) year, however, generally both the Chairman-Elect and Secretary-Treasurer move through the Chairs and serve as Chairman.
One of the Executive Committee members is the NADA Director. The NADA Director is the one dealer elected (statewide) by his/her fellow dealers to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Automobile Dealer's Association (NADA) representing Mississippi interests. NADA's headquarters is located in McLean, Virginia...just outside of Washington D.C. The NADA Director is subject to re-election every three (3) years.
The significance of the Executive Committee is that it not only reflects the leadership of MADA, it is also empowered by the by-laws to serve in the absence of the entire Board of Directors in determining association policy. |
